About Us The HR Matrix, llc is a full-spectrum management firm with over 20 years experience in Human Resources, Organization Development and Search. Our team of professionals provide full-service solutions to organizations. We have deep experience working with local and nationwide organizations in manufacturing, technology, healthcare, medical, financial services, non-profits, public-sector (county and city agencies) and professional services. The company was founded by Brenda Gilchrist, SPHR and Gary Hochman, the Principals of The HR Matrix, llc. We are a local company with highly customized services that are tailored to your needs. Our corporate office is located in Santa Rosa, CA (in beautiful Sonoma County). We serve clients throughout California, including Northern and Southern CA; North Bay (Sonoma, Marin and Napa, Sacramento) and the Bay area (Silicon Valley, Oakland and San Francisco), and Southern CA (Orange County and surrounding areas). Brenda has over 15 years of Human Resource Management experience. Through her corporate and private consulting experiences, Brenda has led many companies through dynamic organizational changes. From 2002-2006, Brenda provided human resources consulting through her private practice, Gilchrist and Associates in Sacramento and the North Bay. Prior to launching her business, Brenda was VP of Human Resources at the California Dental Association and its five for-profit subsidiary companies, where she led all human resources functions including employment, training, benefits and compensation. Brenda has held senior HR positions at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, VFDA-Management Service Organization (a pre-IPO, multi-state, start-up), and Sutter Health.
Brenda holds a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, a Master's Degree in Organizational Dynamics from University of
Pennsylvania and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
Gary has worked in the development of organizations for over 20 years. From 2002 – 2006, Gary operated The Hochman Group, a Santa Rosa based organization development and human resources consulting firm. Prior to that, he served as Vice President at Optical Coating Laboratories, Inc., a JDS Uniphase Company. Gary also was also employed as a senior organization development consultant at Hewlett-Packard. Gary holds a B.A. in sociology from the University of Minnesota and a Master's Degree - with a focus in organization development and training - from the Curtis L. Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. He is on the faculty of the Organization Development Program at Sonoma State University and serves as the President of the Sonoma County Community Childcare Council. |
